Koz's Restaurant Announces KozFest 2010:

KOZFEST ANNOUNCES THE TOPCATS AND BAG OF DONUTS TO HEADLINE SEPTEMBER 12th MUSIC AND FOOD FESTIVAL BENEFIT
All Proceeds to Benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®
HARAHAN, LA -- August, 9, 2010 --- Koz’s Restaurant today announced KOZFEST, a music and food festival benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, happening on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Zeringue Park in Harahan. KOZFEST is proud to feature both 2005 Louisiana Hall of Fame inductee and the “Hardest Working Band in New Orleans,” The TOPCATS as well as the award winning band, BAG OF DONUTS, known for their wild stage antics, outlandish costumes and strange renditions of popular songs. The motto of KOZFEST is “Eat, Laugh, Dance,” and we hope you will attend and enjoy.
KOZFEST is free, with proceeds from all food, beverage and games to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.
“Koz’s has always been about food, fun, and family and there is no better way to give back to the community then being able to sponsor this music festival as a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®,” said Koz Gruenig owner of Koz’s restaurant. “Because there’s nothing more magical then granting a child’s wish.”
In addition to great music, KOZFEST will feature games and fun booths, including a rock climbing wall, and inflatable slide, face painting and a parade of prizes. There will also be a wide range of foods and drinks and a Po Boy eating contest, so come prepared to eat.
Quote from Make-A-Wish:
“The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana grants wishes to children between the ages of 2 ½ to 18 years of age who have life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Our goal is to provide the wish child and their family with a happy experience that gives them time away from medical treatments. In order to achieve this goal, we need the support of the community. It is only from donations that we can make wishes come true. Because of supporters such as “Koz’s Restaurant” who are willing to help, wish children and their families will have dreams become realities as well as having memories made to last a lifetime.”
